Akuma, born from dead souls forcefully recalled to the living world, by their grieving loved ones, are turned into the weapons of the Millennium Earl, hence 'akuma'. Since childhood, Allen Walker has been cursed with an anti-Akuma weapon on his left arm and an eye that sees the former soul of the Akuma. He is also one of the few who contain "Innocence", a substance that allows him to kill Akuma and fight the Earl. It is set immediately after the Soul Society rescue arc, as Ichigo returns to the real world. This places it during the same time frame as the anime-only Bount arc. The DVD is slated to be released in Japan on September 5, 2007. |
